Vibrant by Nature
Colorful Botanical and Avian Murals
Hi! I’m Erica Bonavida, realist painter. For over twenty years, I've dedicated my life to painting, developing a distinctive style inspired by the textures, movement, and color of the natural world. My work centers around a passion for beauty paired with native ecology.
How I Can Help
Every mural is created with purpose. For businesses, it's an opportunity to attract new customers, strengthen a brand, and create a memorable destination. For homeowners, it's a way to elevate a property with a one-of-a-kind work of art that adds character, beauty, and lasting value. My goal is simple: create artwork that people can't help but stop, admire, and share.
How It Works
Step 1: Consultation
We discuss your goals, explore creative possibilities, select botanical/avian motifs, and evaluate site logistics via a free phone or video consultation.
Step 2: Design & Concept Mockup
We begin with a $250 initial design fee (applied directly toward your total project, my standard mural minimum is $1,000). You’ll receive high-saturation digital mockups overlaid on photos of your actual wall for full visual approval.
Step 3: Booking & On-Site Painting
Once the design is approved, your spot on the painting calendar is officially secured with a 50% upfront payment (less your initial $250 design fee). Painting begins using professional, high-durability paints and materials.
Step 4: Final Walkthrough & Enjoy Your Space
We do a final walkthrough together to inspect the finished work. Once final sign-off is complete, your space is officially transformed!
Is a Custom Mural Right for Your Project?
To ensure every mural is a resounding success, clarity and alignment are essential from day one.
We’re a great fit if:
You resonate with my signature style: You love realism, vibrant color, and nature-inspired botanical or avian motifs, and want an original piece crafted specifically for your space.
You trust the creative process: You have a clear vision or vibe in mind, but rely on artistic expertise for fine-art composition, color harmony, and final execution.
You value longevity & quality: You want hand-painted artwork created with premium materials that elevate your home, business, or community wall.
We may NOT be a good fit if:
Your vision is outside my artistic focus: You are looking for abstract art, graphic street art, cartoons, or styles outside of my core body of work. (I’m always happy to point you toward other talented artists if it’s not a mutual fit!)
The wall surface is unstable: Surface preparation is key! Walls must be structurally sound and free of severe moisture or peeling paint prior to painting.

Square Footage & Scale: Total surface area being painted. Design coverage can be tailored to fit your goals. Using negative space strategically allows us to create bold, high-impact focal points while keeping total paint coverage adaptable.
Design Complexity & Detail: Simple graphic/monochrome patterns require less time than intricate, high-saturation realism.
Surface Texture & Prep: Smooth indoor drywall takes less paint and labor than heavily textured brick, stucco, corrugated metal, or raw masonry.
Site Logistics & Equipment: Wall height, indoor/outdoor access, and whether specialized equipment (scaffolding, boom lift, safety rigging) is required are factored directly into your estimate.

Yes. You always retain the right to completely paint over or remove the mural if you ever need to restore the wall to a blank surface. However, partial additions, design modifications, or third-party touch-ups are prohibited to protect the integrity of the artwork.

generally advise against applying a clear coat. Over time, clear coats often yellow, cause cloudiness if the varnish reacts poorly with the paint, and make future repairs much more difficult. The exterior-grade and mural-specific paints I use are selected for high lightfastness and long-term durability on their own. That said, a clear coat can be added according to client preference.
